My Story
My name is Leah, and I am currently a junior in high school. Science has always been my passion, whether it's delving into the intricacies of biology or the marvels of chemistry. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, hitting the volleyball court, and, of course, indulging in my relentless passion for drawing.

In 2023, my dad suffered a sudden stroke. Although he is slowly recovering, the journey has taught me invaluable lessons. During his transition from the ICU to a recovery unit and eventually to rehab, my dad had plenty of idle time on his hands. He initially occupied himself with hours of television, but soon grew tired of it. To help him regain his fine motor skills, I started bringing markers and paper after school each day to draw with him. Together, we sketched Superman, captured the beauty of sunsets, and he even ventured into free doodling on his own. Seeing how art became a nurturing outlet for him, providing both creativity and a therapeutic tool, was incredibly enlightening.

This experience inspired me to share the transformative power of art with as many people as possible. Art serves as a gateway to our imaginations, bridging the realms of reality and fantasy. That's why I'm passionate about supporting initiatives like Tumbles Paints, which provides art supplies and lessons to children in hospitals. These young patients, with ample free time on their hands, can benefit greatly from the therapeutic and expressive nature of art.
